These kinds of broadcasts typically consume large amounts of "bandwidth" (the capacity of your Internet connection). Generally speaking, the faster the Internet connection (e.g., cable modem, DSL) the more likely you are to be able to receive higher quality video and audio data through a webcast. What do I need to watch the Delaware Web Cast?In order to watch the Delaware Web Cast, it is recommended that you should have at version 6.5 or later of the QuickTime media player. This player is available free of charge, and can be downloaded from Apple at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/qt/. Viewers that have an earlier version of QuickTime, should at minimum, upgrade to version 6.5 or later to view the webcast. Viewers are strongly encouraged to download this software prior to the beginning of the Web Cast. How does my Internet connection speed affect the quality of a web cast?Steps have been taken to accommodate viewers with slower Internet connections. Before viewing the webcast, you should test the speed of your Internet connection. Many free bandwidth tests are available on the Internet -- one such test is available at http://bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/. Unless the speed of your Internet connection is high, you may want to consider viewing one of the lower bandwidth webcast options that will be presented for users wishing to view the live Webcast.
